WTEA Food Drive - 2010

The WTEA Food Drive for the St. James Food Pantry will begin in January. Please see schedule for your school’s month to participate. Once again we are encouraging members to make monetary donations as well as non-perishable food items.  Items most needed include:

canned tuna jelly canned potatoes
crackers pancake flour beans
peanut butter paper plates rice
canned meat pasta coffee
plastic utensils soups baby food
cereals canned vegetables lentils
juices pancake syrup shampoo

Food items will be picked up from each school’s main office by our bus drivers and delivered to the WTEA office each week. Monetary contributions will be collected by your school representative and forwarded to the WTEA office. Checks should be made out to the WTEA with food pantry in the memo. Please think of those in need and help as much as you can as every item counts. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Local Pride Grants

NJEA also provides grants to its local affiliates for projects that bring the public schools out into the community and the community into the public schools. Family involvement programs, participation in community fairs and events, Read Across America celebrations, and senior citizen outreach efforts are among the hundreds of local “Pride” projects conducted each year by NJEA members.

NJEA members: visit Members Only for local Pride project grant information and forms.
